Syrian Food Feature

I spent the morning with Abdul taking photos as he showed me how to make the best Syrian shwarma. He taught he how to make falafel, hummus, and showed me how to stack the meat on the roasting spit. He prepared me falafel and pita as we sat down to eat breakfast together. Traditionally falafel is eaten for breakfast, he told me. Abdul told me stories of him immigrating from Syria back in the 80's, finding work, starting his family, and eventually opening Abdul's BBQ.
